Ingredients- 200 gms paneer 2 small onions chopped 1inch ginger 3-4 garlic pods 2-3 green chillies 1/2 tsp white pepper powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 3/4 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp garam masala powder 3-4 tbsp cream 1/4 cup dry fruits (cashew nuts,raisins,makhane) 1/2 cup milk 8-10 tbsp vegetable oil salt to taste Preparation- Heat the oil. Add paneer and fry till golden brown . Fry dry fruits in oil. Make a paste of ginger,garlic and onions and fry it into the oil, now add red chilli powder,white pepper,turmeric,garam masala,salt and mix well. Add milk. Add roasted dry fruits and fried paneer, let it cook for a minute. Add cream. Garnish with cream and coriander leaves. Serve hot.

Potato dumplings ( gnocchi ) Italian recipe

Dumplings, or “gnocchi”, is a traditional Italian recipe very easy and simple to make. This is a basic preparation to make potato dumplings, which can go with many flavored sauces.Firstly, prepare the potatoes: wash them and, without peeling, put them in a pot with salted water and bring it to a boil (1). While they’re still hot, peel and mash the potatoes, putting them on a well floured pastry board (2-3-4). Add a pinch of salt and the flour and knead everything until you obtain a firm yet soft mixture. At this point add an egg (5) and keep on kneading until firm and lumpless (6). Now roll the dough out into many sticks about 1-inch (2-3 cm) thick and start to slice your dumplings (7), putting them on a floured surface or tray. Finally, in order to create their classic ribbed shape, roll each dumpling on the prongs of a fork, pressing it slightly. Let your dumplings rest for 15 minutes, then boil them in a pretty large pot with salted water and drain when they float to the surface. Prepare your favourite sauce and add it to your dumplings.

Expo covers mind, body and spirit

LOS ANGELES–The Los Angeles District’s Federal Women’s Committee and the Wellness Center joined forces here for a Health & Wellness Expo held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 20.

Expo organizers brought in representatives from Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, American Heart Association, National Bike Coalition and nurses from Cal State Long Beach to answer questions and perform screenings.

"I am thrilled with the level of support and participation for the Health and Wellness Expo," said TL Padilla, Federal Women’s Program Manger. "The event was a great success, based on the positive feedback we received."

During the expo, raffles were held, a Wii Interactive workout was available for demonstration and guest speaker Hermina Lang from Federal Occupational Health spoke on the topic "Women’s Health and Aging." She covered topics like health risk behaviors and the importance of hobbies ("learning to give oneself me time") and their benefit to good health.

Event co-sponsor Cecy Ordonez, Los Angeles District, Army Health Promotion Coordinator said, "Thank you to all those who attended. It was a great first event and thanks to the Federal Women’s Comittee for their hard work. I look forward to future events and welcome any discussions or questions about our Fit-To-Win Program and wellness activities.”

All participants were entered in a free raffle for an opportunity to win a prize. Winners were:
